Environmentally-acceptable high-performance biodegradable stern tube oils
Klüber Lubrication’s Klüberbio RM 2 series non-toxic stern tube oils are:
- Compliant with requirements for Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants as defined in Appendix A of the 2013 Vessel General Permit
- Readily biodegradable stern tube oils with a biodegradability of ≥60% acc. to OECD 301 F after 28 days
- Produced using >90% of renewable raw materials
- European ECO label certified
- Suitable for use with most standard FKM elastomers of the leading propeller shaft seal manufacturers, which are resistant to and approved for use with Klüberbio RM 2 oils, preventing leakages and impurities
- Suitable for low-torque propeller start-up at very low temperatures and for building up a sufficiently thick lubricant film at elevated temperatures for enhanced wear protection, due to the oil’s good viscosity-temperature behaviour
