By GlobalDataKDI president Hege Skryseth said: “We are very proud to announce that we recently signed a major deal to digitalise a large industrial shipowner in the tanker segment, with a fleet agreement exceeding one hundred vessels.”
Vessel Insight delivers vessel-to-Cloud data infrastructure that captures and aggregates data in a secure manner.
Fleet overview, vessel-specific dashboards and data analysis tools can be instantly accessed using the solution.
Through Kognifai Marketplace, ship owners can also access several applications and services to transform their data into business value.
KDI stated that one of the main goals of Vessel Insight is ‘to drive sustainability in the shipping industry by providing actionable insight from analysis of operational vessel data’.
Vessel Insight’s consistent and standardised way of collecting data will help deliver quality reporting and enhance transparency, as well as enable in-depth analysis for the optimisation of vessel and fleet performance.
Kongsberg Digital’s digital ocean president Andreas Jagtøyen said: “This contract is a solid proofing point of how Kongsberg Digital’s technologies, including Vessel Insight, will be an important contributor in making the industry more sustainable.”
Last September, Kongsberg Digital received a contract to deploy its Vessel Insight solution on Island Offshore’s fleet of 26 offshore ships.
