Chemring Marine’s logistics manager, Clare Palmer, has been invited to join a key UK transportation advisory body.
Clare is one of just nine members on the Dangerous Goods Advisory Group, which advises industry on the safe transportation of dangerous goods by road, sea and air.
She says, “I am very honoured to have been asked to join such an experienced and influential body.”
The group, which meets four times a year, is part of the British International Freight Association that represents 1,400 members in the UK freight industry.
Clare has ten years’ experience in the dangerous goods sector. As well as advising on the safe transportation of marine distress signals, Clare has previous knowledge of the safe transportation of flammable liquids/gases and lithium batteries.
She keeps right up-to-date with complex international, European and local dangerous goods regulations by attending specialist conferences and courses.
