“We want to be the leading supplier of electric motors to the European marine industry”. Høyer Motors has set yet another ambitious goal for itself, and is to increase its activities in Germany with the posting of key personnel there.
Høyer Motors is a strong international business with activities in Europe and Asia. Germany is already the market on which the company has some of its biggest customers, and with the greatest growth potential within the sale of electric motors to the marine industry and other industry sectors.
Focusing on the sale of electric motors to the marine industry, Høyer Motors has already sent business unit manager Rune Svendsen, one of its top personnel, to Germany. Svendsen relocated with his family to Munich on a three-year posting.
“My primary function is to create the conditions for growth. Our markets lie in Europe and Asia, which means we have to operate on an international scale to maintain the upward curve we are on. And that’s why my job is to maintain the level of business Høyer Motors already has in Germany, and to open a dialogue with potential new customers in partnership with my colleagues in Hamburg,” states Svendsen.
Germany, the country to have a presence in…
According to Svendsen, southern Germany is the perfect location from which to generate new business for a company such as Høyer Motors.
“Germany is enjoying a strong surge in exports and unemployment levels are dropping rapidly, meaning that this is a country with vast growth potential for a business such as Høyer Motors. In terms of location, Munich is also ideal for getting around the rest of Europe,” he says.
The German market is noting new to Høyer, which has had sales personnel in northern Germany since 1999. Several of the company’s key customers are German with activities within transmission products and electric motors.
“Germany is a powerhouse within the marine industry, and even though the competition is tough there, we believe that Høyer Motors is the best alternative on the market to the major suppliers. Our ambition is to make Høyer Motors the preferred supplier of electric motors within the marine industry in Europe and China,” states Svendsen.
A company in growth
Høyer is focusing at several levels on achieving its high ambitions and living up to its own new pay-off: ‘Exceeding Expectations’.
