The Turkish shipyard Cemre has delivered the first of two seismic support vessels, on time.
The new SSV – MV Ocean Dolphin is designed by the Norwegian ship designers SALT, and owned and operated by the Norwegian shipping company Norfield – Vestland Offshore. The STADT scope is a major part of the power plant for these ships, incorporating the 690V main switchboards that handle 4 x 1000kW Yanmar diesel-generators, the STADT No-Loss electric drives and their AC propulsion motors, power management system etc.
The ship will go in to regular service now, to the full satisfaction of all parties involved in the building process. The sister ship will be delivered at the end of this year.
