Couplings from KTR have been used in many industries, including marine, all over the world for many years. To ensure that the new REVOLEX® KX and REVOLEX® KX-D pin and bush couplings are able to be used in boat drives with higher performances, KTR were granted the type-approval for this range by DNV. The DNV type-approval for REVOLEX KX covers the performance range from 6,500Nm to 380,000Nm. For smaller power ranges, the ROTEX jaw coupling has always been available and is also DNV approved. Usual applications in the marine industry are bow rudders, windlasses and pumps.
