Vancouver Airport Fuel Facilities Corporation (VAFFC), a consortium that serves the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), is building an aviation fuel delivery system for YVR.
The new delivery system includes a marine terminal and fuel receiving facility on the South Arm of the Fraser River, in Canada.
Marine Fenders International designed and manufactured two Ocean Guard Donut Fenders for this project. They are equipped with specially designed mooring crowns that will be used to attach the spill boom for this project. These Ocean Guard Donut Fenders rise and fall with the changing tides, thus maintaining the spill boom in its optimal location at all tides.
With a secure and long-term competitive fuel supply, the project will help ensure that YVR remains a key economic generator and critical part of British Columbia’s role as Canada’s Pacific Gateway.
