America’s Cup holder Emirates Team New Zealand has moved to a new base on Auckland’s waterfront, overlooking the Viaduct Basin and the cityscape.

“The layout of the vast 1,800m² glass building has been extensively considered with the view to putting together the most effective and comfortable workspace possible,” announced the Base Manager Andrew Nottage.

“Two water-front massive aluminium frames and glass walls have been removed, ready for the installation of two 14.76m x 10.6m fabric fold-up doors from Champion Door Finland. They’ll allow the boats to be wheeled in and out every sailing day.”

The Champion Door product was chosen for numerous reasons, none least was the swift design and engineering response provided by our engineering and project team, which kept up with the projects’ fast track requirements. This was further complimented by the prompt delivery, project coordination and ease of installation during the final build works.

As well as the doors’ design and overall aesthetic on such a prestigious project, Champion Door door smooth, easy and proven reliability on the global stage were also main factors in the doors final selection.

Thanks to AUTO MOSSA / PENSA Doors, our partners and distributors in New Zealand, we were able to complete the installation as per the project’ planned schedule and now we all look forward to the first Yacht to be delivered to the new base.
