Navim Group is present with its equipment on Queen Anne, ordered to Fincantieri by Cunard Line to be delivered from the Marghera Shipyard in April 2024. It is the third luxury cruise ship that Fincantieri is building for the historical English luxury brand Cunard. The ship will weigh 113,000 gross tons, with accommodation for 3,000 passengers across 14 decks. Queen Anne will offer Cunard’s distinctive services, including world-class restaurants, amazing entertainment, and luxury rooms.
Side doors, access and handling systems
On Cunard Queen Anne, Navim Group provided the design, engineering, supply, manufacturing, and final commissioning of a complete range of access and handling systems to fulfil the needs of loading and offloading passengers, crew, provisions, and spares. This included two mooring observation weathertight doors, four tender platforms, and five side doors for luggage and stores.
Telescopic davits on Cunard Queen Anne
Navim Group has also designed, engineered and successfully delivered the lifeboat, tender, rescue boat and liferaft davits, specifically 14 telescopic davits with hydraulic winches for partially enclosed lifeboats (each with a 150 person capacity), six telescopic davits with hydraulic winches for partially enclosed lifeboat/tenderboat (150 person capacity each), two telescopic davits with hydraulic winches for lifeboats/rescueboats (with a 136 person capacity for the lifeboats and a six persons capacity for the rescue boats), and eight telescopic davits with electric winches for davit-launched liferafts (35 person capacity each).
Window washing and valve remote control systems
The concept design, engineering, construction and commissioning of safe and easy to operate window washing systems are also provided by Navim Group.
Navim Group also provided the design, creation and installation of the valves remote control system, as well as sensible and reliable equipment on board for the operation of ballast valves, fuel transfer, sea chest emergency closing, and cross flooding valves to ensure the safety of the passengers and crew.
Skydome pool sliding cover
And last but not least, branded by Navim Group, is the huge glassy sliding cover, a specially-designed glass dome roof that retracts in warmer climes. Our SKYDOME is a favourite venue on each one of the Cunard Queens, and Queen Anne is no exception.
