Focusing on innovations, Martechnic will be showcasing its patent pending test device MT COOLANT CHECK, which offers a chemical-free and environmentally friendly assessment of the engine coolant quality and its remaining corrosion protection. Using the electrotechnical apparatus with specialised steel and stainless-steel electrodes, the water-based coolants are analysed using just one measurement through a single coolant sample in a simulated engine cooling system. All test results are delivered in just 15 minutes, providing precise maintenance recommendations to further actions, if required. Thereby, unnecessary coolant changes can be prevented.
Regarding quality monitoring of urea-based marine diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) AUS 40, Martechnic offers a new test kit MT UREA CHECK. A prompt on-board assessment is conducted in accordance with ISO 18611-1:2014 and helps to determine the following possible error sources:
- Technical deviating specifications
- Thermal instability (shelf life)
- Dilution (possibly chemical contamination)
