We would like to share two recent cases with you, starting with the repair of a propeller hub and crank disc.
We carry out many hub repairs, but not very often on hubs where our engineers fit inside.
This bronze hub was almost 1800mm wide and high and weighed 7450kg.
Our repair work consisted of machining the inner and outer glide surfaces of the propeller hub and the machining of the four blade carriers.
It was class approved by DNV and carried out in three successive days, working around the clock.

Maintaining and increasing our stock of raw materials of European origin is important to us. We want to be able to offer you a repair or replacement, both with the best possible delivery time.
Last month we delivered a new rudder stock, pintle, and bushing in eight working days.
We had the material in stock and could therefore offer our client a fast delivery time. We ensure safe transport by using custom-made shipping crates.
It is crucial to have sufficient human resources and machine capacity in the urgent repair business.
In the past months, we have recruited additional administrative staff and service engineers and expanded our machine capacity with a larger CNC milling machine.
We have invested in a new truck with a low loader semi-trailer. It was 32 metres in length and had a load capacity of 42.5 tonnes. We used it for the first time recently when we transported two propeller shafts, arriving by ship at Hirtshals, for the final leg of the journey to our workshop.
Furthermore, our new laser cladding equipment has arrived and it is ready for work.
We feel ready for a new and hopefully busy 2024 and we are ready to being at your service.
Thank you for reading. Before wishing you a merry Christmas, we have to show you another recent purchase, or should we call it a ‘fun toy’, which is a drone for filming, and of course, we needed to perform a test flight inside our workshop. Please visit our YouTube channel to see the full video.
