Celebrity Silhouette is a Solstice-class cruise ship operated by Celebrity Cruises, a cruise operator based in the US.
Constructed with an investment of $750m, Celebrity Silhouette was launched in July 2011.
The vessel was constructed at Meyer Werft’s shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Its first steel was cut in March 2010.
On its maiden voyage, the vessel set sail from Hamburg, Germany, to Rome, Italy.
In July 2018, Celebrity Cruises launched the $500m Celebrity Revolution programme to modernise its fleet, including Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Millennium, Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Summit and other cruise ships.
