Marine technology company Kongsberg Maritime has chosen software provider Clevr to work on its internal digital transformation.
The “provider of low code and PLM (product lifecycle management) software solutions” will be providing its services to Kongsberg to support the company’s internal workflow and processes.
According to Clevr, its PLM solutions will allow Kongsberg to improve its operational efficiency, streamline its processes and amplify collaboration across its value chain.
Clevr chief revenue officer Magnus Normann said: “Kongsberg Maritime's decision to partner with Clevr is a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional value and becoming a true strategic partner to our customers.
“We look forward to embarking on this transformative journey together, empowering Kongsberg Maritime with our state-of-the-art software solutions and strategic counsel.”
Kongsberg’s partnership with Clevr is no surprise when looking at the maritime company’s previous operations and declaration that “digitalisation is the future of maritime.”
The Norwegian company is also known for providing technological solutions to other businesses, such as supplying multiple systems on Italian shipping company Grimaldi Group’s roll-on-roll-off vessels and vessel insight data for iron ore producer Vale.
Kongsberg has also recently partnered with Samsung Heavy Industries on designing an autonomous, liquefied natural gas carrier, serving as a strategic partner on the project.
