Wärtsilä has secured a contract from Virgin Voyages to provide maintenance services for three cruise ships.
The comprehensive ten-year optimised maintenance agreement covers Wärtsilä’s Dynamic Maintenance Planning, which is designed to conduct maintenance operations using remotely monitored and analysed real-time performance data.
Wärtsilä’s Dynamic Maintenance Planning is also capable of extending intervals of maintenance service required by equipment.
It also allows scheduled maintenance depending on the operations of the vessel, increasing availability and reducing unnecessary downtime.
The maintenance agreement also features remote operational support services, specific fuel oil consumption (SFOC) meters and calibration, as well as spare parts and technical advisory services for the engines.
Virgin Voyages will also receive comprehensive technical support and personnel training from Wärtsilä.
