Telemar, a smart maintenance and remote access technologies provider, has reached a partnership with Sealution to enhance plug-and-play data collection for vessel operators.
The collaboration aims to improve the robustness of onboard networks and enable detailed data collection from various equipment and IoT devices.
Sealution’s Connectivity System leverages the reliability of existing shipboard cabling, typically used for fire detection and alarm systems, by integrating an onboard gateway.
This technology facilitates the collection and transmission of data, which is crucial for the maritime industry’s ongoing digital transformation.
Telemar CEO Mike Bauwens said: “This agreement extends the range of possibilities that Telemar can offer to our clients, simplifying data collection and creating a more integrated approach to digitalisation. Our partnership strategy is designed to support owners in accessing the data they need to operate at higher efficiency and in compliance.”
Under the agreement, Telemar will provide installation, service, and maintenance for Sealution’s Type Approved solution.
