The first steel was cut for ultra-luxury cruise ship “Seven Seas Prestige”, starting the construction at Fincantieri‘s Marghera shipyard in Venice.

The vessel, part of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, a Norwegian Cruise Line brand, is slated for delivery in 2026. A sister ship is expected in 2029.

The steel-cutting ceremony was attended by industry executives, including Norwegian Cruise Line president and CEO Harry Sommer, Regent Seven Seas Cruises President Andrea DeMarco, Fincantieri Merchant Ships Division General Manager Luigi Matarazzo, and Marghera yard Director Marco Lunardi.

Seven Seas Prestige will have a gross tonnage of 77,000t and a length of 257m. The ship will offer accommodation for nearly 850 passengers in 434 suites, with one of the highest guest-to-space ratios in the industry.

The vessel will incorporate the latest environmental technologies, new accommodation categories, and dining experiences.

Seven Seas Prestige will be the first in the new Prestige Class.
