Cargotec unit MacGregor has secured contracts to provide comprehensive equipment packages to seven specialist support vessels that will operate in the Middle East region.
Under the deal, MacGregor will supply deck cranes and a range of deck machinery to each vessel.

The company will also provide shark-jaws and towing pins to two 58m anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, as well as deck machinery and a deck crane to one 45m work utility vessel.
MacGregor will also deliver a deck crane and deck machinery to four 45m maintenance utility vessels.
The deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of next year.

Scheduled to be delivered in the third quarter of next year, the support vessels will be built in China for an undisclosed marine logistics services provider in Middle East.
Once delivered, the vessels will serve a Middle Eastern national oil company in the Arabian Gulf under a five-year charter with a two-year extension option.
In July, MacGregor won a contract to design and supply major components and fabrication of steel structures for the hatch covers for five 14,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) container vessels under construction at Japan Marine United's (JMU) Kure shipyard.
