China’s CSSC Guangzhou Huangpu Shipbuilding has received a contract from Singapore-based Basic Offshore to build eight platform support vessels (PSVs).
Havyard design of Norway has designed the 4,100dwt vessels and they will be classified by BV.

The newbuilds will have a length of 84.5m, breadth of 17.6m and height of 7.7m.
The hybrid-power vessels are scheduled to be delivered around 2013-14.
