AC Milan and MSC Cruises have announced a partnership which makes MSC Cruises the ‘Rossoneri’s’ principal partner and official sleeve sponsor beginning with the 2023/24 season.
MSC Cruises expects that this arrangement will expand its awareness in sports and football while embarking on a new path with a club that has a long history of great achievement.
MSC replaced BitMex on the Rossoneri (“the red and blacks” is the Milan nickname, deriving from the team’s kit colours) sleeves for the men’s and women’s teams for at least one year.
Casper Stylsvig, AC Milan’s chief revenue officer, said the extension of this relationship will allow both companies to reach significant milestones.
Stylsvig said: “We’re happy to welcome MSC Cruises back to the Rossoneri family as a principal partner and sleeve partner of our men’s and women’s first teams.
“The AC Milan shirt is a second skin, a global icon and a symbol of the passion that our over 500 million fans worldwide have. We’re convinced that together, two Italian excellences in the world like AC Milan and MSC Cruises will be able to achieve the set goals and reach ambitious milestones.”

By GlobalDataThis new partnership is a renewal of the relationship between the companies which previously resulted in a three-year partnership from 2012, featuring a ‘red and black’ cruise dedicated to AC Milan supporters operated by MSC Splendida.
Leonardo Massa, managing director of MSC Cruises, added how both companies share the same visions and how this partnership further aligns with this.
Massa said: “10 years since the last collaboration with AC Milan, we are ready to write a new chapter together. The partnership signed today fits perfectly on the path traced together… and which we have pursued over the years and today sees us side by side with companies that represent Italian excellence in the world.
“The two companies share a long historical tradition and a common global vision, as well as ambitious goals to be achieved with tenacity, commitment and dedication.”
MSC added that it boasts “many firsts” and is preparing to experience a record-breaking 2023. It said it expects a “significant increase” in passengers, with 4 million departures from Italian ports alone.
