Danish shipping firm Maersk has launched Customs Clearance online shipping management platform in seven European countries to help in hassle-free trading of goods.
The platform will be made available in Germany, France, Denmark, The Netherlands, Poland, the UK, and Spain.
The solution will be launched across the world by the end of this year.
Maersk said that international trade is subjected to diverse, wide controls and customs regulations whose compliance is essential to ensure that traded goods are entering and exiting legally.
In case of a delay, the entire plan gets affected while it also increases expenses such as storage costs, fines, and penalties for importers and exporters.
AP Moller – Maersk chief commercial officer Vincent Clerc said: “This new one-stop-shop allows us to timely and efficiently handle export and import declarations for our customers.

Maersk has already tested the platform in Germany for almost two years.
According to Maersk, this new functionality will cover all types of cargo for all its brands.
