Maersk has inaugurated its first own-licensed bonded warehouse in Vietnam, situated at SLP Park, Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park in Hai Phong province.
Maersk Contract Logistics operates the warehouse, which is set to bolster the company’s presence in Northern Vietnam amid growing import and export demands.
The opening event was attended by Lasse Pedersen Hjortshøj, the Commercial Counsellor of the Danish Embassy in Vietnam, emphasising the commitment to international business expansion.
Located strategically within the Hai Phong seaport area, Maersk’s bonded warehouse serves as a crucial node in the region’s international transport network.
The facility’s integration with Maersk’s existing fulfilment centre in Hai Phong and the forthcoming terminal at Lach Huyen port, developed in partnership with APM Terminals and Hateco, is poised to enhance Maersk’s storage solutions and operational efficiency.
This synergy is expected to streamline supply chains for customers and tap into local growth opportunities.
