Norwegian marine technology firm Kongsberg Maritime has opened a new office at the Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship (COVE) to further support its Canadian operations.
Located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the new office will give Kongsberg access to an eight-acre site, a 13-acre water lot and 2,850ft of docks and piers.
It will have access to office space, 10,000ft² incubation space and 16,500ft² shop and lab space. Kongsberg will share these facilities with the other members of the ocean-tech community.
Kongsberg Maritime Canada sales manager Nick Burchill said: “Our presence at COVE is a logical extension of our established Dartmouth office.
“COVE keeps us in touch with developments in the local ocean-tech sector and brings us closer to our customers and industry partners.
“We look forward to expanding on existing relationships and finding new ways to introduce Canadian ocean-tech to the world.”
