Construction of a new ultra-luxury cruise ship for Norwegian Cruise Line’s Regent Seven Seas Cruises has commenced at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Ancona, Italy.
The Seven Seas Splendor ship represents the second ultra-luxury vessel to be built by Fincantieri for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Its delivery is expected by early 2020.
Weighing 55,500t, Seven Seas Splendor will be 224m-long and carry 754 passengers on-board the 375 suites.
The all-suite, all-balcony ship will also be equipped with latest environmental protection technology.
It will join the ‘Seven Seas Explorer’ vessel, which was delivered by Fincantieri in Sestri Ponente, Genoa, Italy, in June.
The interiors of Seven Seas Splendor will be designed with an aim to offer improved passenger comfort.
