Norwegian shipowner BW LNG has entered a partnership with Procureship to enhance its procurement processes for its fleet of 34 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.

The collaboration will utilise Procureship’s e-procurement platform, which incorporates automation and machine learning, to improve purchasing strategies, cut costs, and boost operational efficiency.

By integrating with Procureship’s platform, BW LNG will have access to real-time analytics and streamlined workflows.

This will enable their procurement teams to quickly adapt to market changes and operational requirements.

Procureship co-founder and CEO Grigoris Lamprou said: “Procureship is proud to be supporting BW LNG by ensuring their vessels have the procurement capabilities they need to keep their vessels moving, reducing their time spent in port and enabling their team to make smarter and quicker decisions that can support their day-to-day operations.”

Following the addition of BW LNG, the platform now supports over 2,000 vessels from more than 85 fleet owners and operators, establishing it as one of the fastest-growing digital systems in the industry.
