Abu Dhabi Ports has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dell Technologies to help enhance maritime and IT capabilities.
Under the MoU, Abu Dhabi Ports will leverage value-added technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) to accelerate its digital transformation journey.
Under the partnership, Dell will work with Abu Dhabi Ports to integrate advanced technologies into maritime operations and solutions.
The companies will also exchange industry best practices and know-how needed to develop integrated smart ports. It will enable Abu Dhabi Ports to better serve its customers and other stakeholders.
Abu Dhabi Ports Corporate Support executive vice-president Abdullah Al Hameli said: “We are delighted to partner with Dell Technologies on our on-going digital journey. Dell has long been a leader and pioneer in IT, and we look forward to combining their knowledge and insights with that of our own maritime experts.
“Together, we will explore ways to harness the most exciting technologies to make the future of maritime operations and services safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.”

Founded in 2006, Abu Dhabi Ports operates and manages a number of commercial and community ports within the emirate of Abu Dhabi along with the Port of Fujairah.
