US-based Princess Cruises has unveiled a next-generation ship, dubbed Sun Princess, which can accommodate more than 4,000 guests.
Expected to enter service in early 2024, the 175,500t vessel is presently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard.
The 21-deck Sun Princess will have 2,157 total staterooms, including 50 suites and 100 connecting rooms.
As well as having more outdoor balcony space, all the balcony accommodations will feature an in-room sofa.
The ship will also include the Signature Collection, which will offer access to the Signature Restaurant, Signature Lounge and Signature Sun Deck.
Claimed to be the largest Princess ship once complete, the new cruise ship will feature a Piazza as well as a modern entertainment space called The Dome.

The Dome will be a multi-level covered deck with an indoor/outdoor pool.
The new cruise ship’s inaugural spring/summer season will consist of Mediterranean cruises, followed by Western and Eastern Caribbean voyages from Port Everglades, Florida, US, in the fall of 2024.

Fincantieri is expected to deliver the second next-generation Sphere-class ship to Princess Cruises in spring 2025.
