Hong Kong-based Walaem Ship Management and Germany’s Zeaborn Ship Management have signed two separate verification services contracts with Verifavia Shipping for the auditing of their European Union (EU) Reporting and Verification (MRV) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Data Collection System (DCS).
Verifavia will also provide certification to the associated information technology (IT) systems.
Verifavia will provide verification services for EU MRV and IMO DCS across the Walaem-operated Liberia and Panama flagged vessels. The company will also supply Vertex ship maintenance and ship management software (SMMS).
Zeaborn will receive EUV verification services from Verifavia as part of the deal.
Verifavia will also verify Zeaborn’s flag status.
Verifavia Shipping CEO Julien Dufour said: “A key drive for both these organisations has the ability to work with a verifier that offers maximum flexibility.”
