Germany-based maritime software provider Hanseaticsoft has opened an office in Singapore to provide improved Asian shipping services to companies.
The opening of the office is part of the company’s plan to step up its expansion and introduce its Cloud-based ship management platform, Cloud Fleet Manager (CFM), to the region.
Hanseaticsoft noted that its decision to open an office in Singapore is driven by the country’s reputation in the fields of maritime shipping, technology and innovation.
Hanseaticsoft managing director Alexander Buchmann said: “Cloud technology is the big game changer of the 21st century.
“It is supporting the digital transformation of the shipping industry, streamlining business and management processes and leading to greater efficiencies and increased profitability.
“We’re looking forward to travelling around the region and meeting prospects to talk about the exciting potential of new technologies in the maritime business.”

The technology can also make it easier for companies to integrate their systems and processes.
CFM is a web-based platform that enables shipping companies to manage their entire fleet and delivers more than 20 different business apps. There are 40 companies currently using the system, including OSM Maritime Group in Singapore.
Last year, Hanseaticsoft received a significant investment from the UK’s Lloyd’s Register (LR), following which 15 new shipping companies selected CFM, adding 500 more vessels to its system.
