UK-based maritime and logistics service provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has entered into a new agency agreement with Stolt-Nielsen to handle the port calls of Stolt Tankers at South Africa’s Durban, Richards Bay, Cape Town, and Mosel Bay.
Stolt Tankers, a division Stolt-Nielsen, currently operates a fleet of deep-sea, regional, coastal and inland parcel tankers, as well as provides transportation services to various chemical and other bulk liquids manufacturers.
As part of the new deal, ISS’ South African division will help Stolt Tankers to reduce port time and increase efficiency.
ISS South Africa will also help Stolt Tankers to ensure quick vessel turn-around at the ports, along with fast, accurate and detailed port accounting, despatching of cargo documents, and full port call management control.
Additionally, full cost control, financial visibility and performance information will be provided to Stolt Tankers.
Inchcape Shipping Services key account manager, liquid and gas specialist Tim Whitmore said: “We are delighted to be developing our relationship with Stolt-Nielsen with this contract, protecting its interests during the port calls in South Africa through our established policies and procedures to provide the appropriate level of port call management control.
