Crystal Cruises have exercised the option for a third cruise ship from Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri.

This follows a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed between the parties in June 2024 for two cruise ships, alongside an option for a third unit.

The new unit, like its sister ships Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, will have a gross tonnage of 61,800t and house around 690 passengers.

It will offer all-suite accommodations, complete with private verandas, including a single occupancy category designed specifically for solo travellers.

This comfort element will further be enhanced by one of the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in this segment, to ensure personalised service.

Fincantieri stated that this order represents its comprehensive strategy in the cruise ship space.

Crystal was acquired by A&K Travel Group in 2022 and has been focused on expanding its fleet and improving its offerings at sea and on land under its new owner.
